Internacional Street Art Festival

Spring brings back to Puerto de la Cruz a very special event assumed as one of the most lively and dynamic traditions in this city. March arrives and with it another edition of the MUECA festival, the International Street Art Festival.

The increasing success reached during the past years not only has consolidated the Festival but also has turned it into one of the greatest street art show in the Canary Islands; it is a big cultural fiesta in the open air.

Our tourist city, is used to the hustle and bustle of people from every latitude and with MUECA the bet for the culture as an instrument of leisure enrichment and qualification for all tourists and local people is strengthened.

That is why “in Puerto, the art rises in spring”. Streets and squares are again the best stage in Puerto de la Cruz for the MUECA festival and also the main character during every theatre show for all public and to be enjoyed by everyone.

My warmest welcome to the groups, actors and artists who participate in MUECA 2009. I invite all the people to enjoy this event. We are sure it will be unique and unforgettable once again.
