This year, the Mueca Festival incorporates into its structure an innovative security project associated with technology that will allow it to distinguish itself with the label of 'Safe Festival'. Thanks to the Sappo device, the International Street Art Festival (May 12, 13, 14 and 15) acquires added value in terms of security and emergency.

The device consists of a resistant silicone bracelet in which the information that is considered necessary in the event of an emergency or loss can be stored. Access to this information is immediate, since just by approaching any mobile phone that has NFC (Near Field Communication) technology, it will be possible to read the data contained in the device. Sandra Rodríguez, councilor for the Treasury of the northern city council, points out “that with this initiative we take another step in a cutting-edge proposal. We always try to offer the best service to our users and this integration of the Sappo project is proof of that”.

Sappo is especially suitable for children, the elderly, foreigners who do not speak Spanish, people who arrive at the Mueca Emergency Service or unconscious field hospital after a trauma or accident, etc; in such a way that after a first recognition through this technological help service they can receive the necessary attention.

For its integration into the Festival, a secure point will be installed in a strategic location in Mueca, where users can go to pick up their Sappo bracelet, once they have previously purchased it through the festival website: www.festivalmueca.com. In this same space you can also receive information about the device and its operation or purchase the device on site if you have not done so online before. In addition, in said tent and in the enabled emergency areas, bracelet reading points will be included, so that the health, emergency teams, local police or individual wearers can go to access the information contained in the bracelets.
