The Abubukaka company will be in charge of raising the curtain on this edition of the International Street Art Festival, Mueca, which from this Thursday until next Sunday, the 14th, will bring together companies from Latin America, Europe, the Peninsula and the Canary Islands.
The comedy group arrives in Puerto de la Cruz faithful to its appointment with the audience of Mueca and ready to fulfill its objective: get a laugh out of everyone who this Thursday, starting at 9:30 p.m., approaches the Aqualia Space on Pier 1 to see the premiere of `Cuneta Deluxe´. The show will be performed again Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m. in the same place.
Carlos Pedrós, Amanhuy Calayanes, Víctor Hubara and Diego Lupiañez arrive at the Festival with `Cuneta Deluxe´, a show made up of different kinds of sketches without losing the thread of current affairs, the absurd and the "deeply stupid".
One of the goals of Mueca is to make people laugh. For this reason, the company will bring this humorous miscellany to Puerto de la Cruz where the public will laugh with "filthy skirmishes, cacaphonous phonemes and bombastic entelechies without forgetting the music, the fallen angels and the respect agreed upon in a horizontal assembly".
The company Impulso, from Bibiana Monje, from the Canary Islands, will also parade through the great Mueca dance floor this Thursday with `Lacura´. The actress and theater director will stage this work where family, lovers, fears and psychological landscapes are the common thread of a story whose character Bibi decides like crazy to tell us the story of her own view of the world.
After its presentation at the International Pantheatre Festival in France and its official premiere in Madrid, the play, written and starring Bibiana Monje, stops at Mueca, where it will be performed from 8:00 p.m. in the Espacio Timanfaya.
The Espacio Agustinos hosts a new representation of the local company La Pandilla starting at 9:30 p.m. The theater group promises a night full of humor with the staging of three short plays: `Marta's fur coat', `Radiant white knocks on your door' and `At your orders, Mr. Director', included under the same title `At your service, Mr. Director´. The play by Ángel Camacho Cabrera and directed by Antonia Jaster will be performed again Friday and Saturday at the same time.
The theater and the circus will share the tent with the music. The group Rodríguez Martín Miranda Trio formed by Fran Rodríguez (sax), Ruimán Martín (double bass) and Ancor Miranda (drums) will offer a night of live jazz at El Arcón. It will be at 9:30 p.m.
Puerto de la Cruz will be from this Thursday until Sunday the epicenter of Canarian culture with this festival, which the people of Porto have made their own, and which is added to other cultural initiatives of the municipality (within the Cultural Strategy Puerto de la Cruz 2020 ) such as Phe, Festival Periplo, Canarias Jazz & Más and Puerto Street Art.
