More than 60 companies make up the Mueca poster in its 2018 edition

The sixteenth edition of the International Street Art Festival takes place from May 10 to 13.

A total of 61 companies will participate from May 10 to 13 in the development of the sixteenth edition of the International Street Art Festival 'Mueca'. In total, there will be almost 400 artists who will star in the largest performing arts show in the Canary Islands during its four days. Six international, seven national and 48 regional companies will make up the poster for this important cultural event in Puerto de la Cruz. The bulk of the planned programming can already be consulted on the web www.festivalmueca.com

All of them will be distributed among the different spaces enabled for the development of the shows, such as the main stages of El Peñón, Plaza Europa, Espacio Muelle and Espacio Nicko; in addition to the thematic streets in which a good part of the programmed functions will also be carried out: Of Ingenuity, Of Word, Of Movement, Of Music and Creative. "We maintain the base of the structure - affirms the councilor for the Culture area, Sandra Rodríguez - being aware of the success of our proposal and wanting to move decisively on other important factors such as the sustainability of the Festival".

International companies include Le Collectif de la Basse Cour, Cirzo Zoé, Gandini Juggling, PasVuPasPris... On the other hand, as has been the case in recent editions, Abubukaka has once again become one of the main attractions of the artistic poster in this 2018 with a performance every night of the festival.

In the same way, as happened in previous editions, the programming during this weekend will be enriched with the MásMueca program, in which Porto entertainment venues, such as Blanco Bar, Terraza Limbo and Gramophone, among others, will host part of its parallel programming mainly with musical performances.

Thus, under the premise of consolidating its structure and advancing in key aspects such as sustainability, the Mueca Festival will once again turn the central streets of Puerto de la Cruz into the epicenter of Culture in the Canary Islands for four days, with a Defined and established bet for lovers of theater and street arts in all its aspects.

Four days of activity suitable for the whole family in which the combination of culture and tourism will once again make this festival an important economic engine for the northern city.
