Puerto de la Cruz will be the scene from May 10 to 13 of the sixteenth edition of the International Festival of Street Art 'Mueca', in a cultural event that during these four days will host the visit of more than 60,000 people, becoming thus in one of the most popular outdoor shows in the Canary Islands. The program will begin on Thursday, May 10 from 9:30 p.m. and will last until noon on Sunday. In the present 2018, in addition to its usual careful offer in the four main stages (El Peñón, Plaza Europa, Espacio Muelle and Espacio Nicko), the organization has influenced the commitment to programming in the secondary scenic spaces, the so-called theme streets , with a cast of top-level artists who will make Mueca a global show with proven quality in each of its proposals. The Abubukaka people from Tenerife are part of the leading role of the Festival and will give away their humor every night of the Festival at the El Peñón Football Field, a new space in this 2018 edition.
In this way, more than 50 activities will take place at different points in the central arteries of Puerto de la Cruz, in spaces called Calle Del Ingenio, De la Lengua, Del Movimiento, De la Música and Creativa. Theater, concerts, storytelling, puppets, dj, poetry create a complete artistic universe for all audiences.
Companies such as Pixie Dixie, Paula Quintana, 7 island swing & Mama Manouche, Phil Otajole, Reciclown, Fran Baraja, Barrios Orquestados, among many others, will be some of the cultural agents that fill the arteries of Puerto de la Cruz with which the powerful artistic offer of the Mueca Festival will be completed.
In addition, the program continues at night at the MásMueca venues with theater, concerts, salsa workshops and a vinyl fair. These activities will take place over the weekend in Porto venues, thus expanding the nightlife on offer during the Festival. For their part, the Cómplices shops collaborate with Mueca with attractive offers during the Festival.
