Every year we are delighted to share the optimism and experience Grin with the thousands of lovers of street arts and visitors who accompany us. There are less than 15 days left to get excited with dozens of high-level shows, new proposals to discover, as well as a wide variety of exciting activities. So both for the faithful and for those who are still thinking about it, we want to offer you information of interest and some tips to get the most out of the streets of Cross port from May 9 to 12 next.

Make sure you are comfortable and well prepared

Cross port It boasts of having a temperate climate all year round, multicolored skies and an intense smell of the sea. Y Grin will invade the main avenues, promenades and pedestrian streets. So it would not be bad if you wear comfortable clothes and shoes for the healthy hustle and bustle that awaits you; cap (hat or pamela), sunglasses and sun protection for moments of intense heat; and good socks and a good coat, in case the temperatures drop in the evening, you never know what can happen.

Information to improve your experience

As in previous editions, the grimace festival It will have an information point located in front of the Customs House, where we will be delighted to assist you. To have up-to-date information about the programming or possible modifications, we recommend that you frequently visit the festival website, you download our app and follow us on social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram).

We will do everything on our part so that you can enjoy the joy of the festival without setbacks, but if you have any problem, you can contact any person from the organization, they will help you in everything that is in their power. You can also find reinforcement of police officers and security personnel scattered throughout the environment.

Be proactive, make a plan

Grin invites you to enjoy a diverse and extensive program. You will soon realize that you will not be able to see everything, so you have to organize yourself. Study carefully the program that you will find on the website, the festival app, the hand program available at the information point or on the information panels that are distributed around the city, check schedules and make your own plan. Pay attention to the indications of the shows, since some have a recommended age and others, due to capacity issues, require a ticket.

From the festival we propose some generic routes associated with profiles and desires, to go alone, with friends, with family or with your pet. Are you more octopus or brunette? Shrimp or old? Grouper or greenfish? Of course, whatever you choose, go early to get the best possible site.

Attention to details

It's like reading the fine print of the festival. Pay attention to the indications of the shows, since some have a recommended age and others, due to capacity issues, require a ticket. If you want to go to any of these, you can buy seats on our website www.festivalmueca.com or at the information point. In case you've lost your ticket or can't find it, don't worry, let us know and we'll help you. And don't forget that once the seat has been purchased, the exchange or return is only allowed in exceptional cases of cancellation of the show.

Nothing better than hydrating and regaining strength

Mueca is intense, you walk the streets, you get excited and your mind doesn't stop working. You can end up exhausted, both physically and emotionally. Don't forget to hydrate from time to time. In the center of Puerto de la Cruz you have at your disposal an interesting culinary offer for all tastes and ages where you can recharge your batteries. Remember that if you choose one of the Cómplices venues – those committed to the festival and the city that hosts them – you are also collaborating with our festival. Look for the badge on the facade and make you also an accomplice Mueca.

Be civic, be Grimace

We all want to take home the best experience. Every day of the festival thousands of people fill our spaces to get excited, feel and share the best moments of theater, circus, music, dance... The best thing is that we do it in harmony. As much as you want to have the best seat to see your favorite artist, do not reserve the seats for hours, think of others. Always respect the signs of the spaces reserved for babies or people with reduced mobility. Follow the instructions of the police, volunteers and other members of the festival organization.

Put yourself in the place of the residents of Puerto de la Cruz who welcome you with great enthusiasm. Think about the environment, make sure you leave your seat clean when you leave it and locate the nearest selective collection containers to deposit your containers. You'll also find public and portable toilets near the main stages.

The bus, the bike… more sustainable alternatives

Let yourself go to the festival! If it is green, better. Consult in our program the different alternatives to forget about the car, enjoy a calmer and more intense trip and reduce your carbon footprint: use public transport, come by bike and use the parking areas, share a vehicle and, if you don't have it no choice but to bring your car, make use of the parking areas enabled for Grin.
