The nineteenth edition of the International Street Art Festival in Puerto de la Cruz Mueca invites you to enjoy a weekend of family entertainment. Mueca promises that audiences of all ages will share smiles and joy, strengthening cohesion among its members.
The event is especially aimed at the family audience with several proposals for the little ones until November 28. Proof of this is the design of a specific route for families: the Camarón route.
Within this route there are two workshops: one percussion performed by Bloko (Saturday 27 at 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. in the Colegio Tomás de Iriarte space), and another family circus developed by Teatro KDO (Sunday 28 at 11:00 and 12:00 at the Tomás de Iriarte School). To attend these workshops it is necessary to book a ticket at Tickety.es. The KDO Theater circus workshop has already sold out.
Another of the family proposals within the Camarón route is the show 'Panoli Kabareta' of Ganso&cia. The Basque company will be on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 at 1:00 p.m. in the Aqualia Muelle area. Panoli Kabareta is the result of “an overdose of self-esteem. They will not go down in the history of the circus or vaudeville but, at least, we will have a few laughs”, they assure from the company. Gorka Ganso and Cecilia Paganini perform this humorous street show, designed in and for times of pandemic.
Totó the clown will also be in Mueca. The show 'Totó, a traveling clown' will make families enjoy on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 at 1:00 p.m. in the Centro Comercial Martiánez space. Juggling, magic, balloons... but, above all, a lot of humor is what he brings in his suitcase after each trip.
To attend both shows it is necessary to buy the ticket at Tickety.es.
More proposals for families
The vast majority of the Mueca festival shows do not have an express recommendation for an age group. Families will be able to enjoy dance, street circus, physical theater, acrobatics and humor together. The programming is designed so that the family audience can enjoy the mornings and afternoons of the weekend.
In addition to the Camarón route, there are other shows that the whole family will enjoy. It is the case of 'The Box' of the Holoqué company. Multidisciplinary in nature and recommended for all ages, 'La Caixeta' will make viewers live the experience of being inside a musical box and learn "the never before explained story of the forbidden love between music and dance", explains the company . The show is distributed in five-minute passes and will be on Friday 26 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday 27 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday 28 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. All passes will be in the Plaza Concejil space.
Dance is another of the disciplines that stimulates the little ones. So, 'Paradise' It is a good choice for families. The company La Reversa has built this piece from the rhythm, the sensation of enjoyment and the fullness of dancing. "We want to participate in the contagion and the energy pulse that grows in our bodies," they say from the company. The piece will be on Saturday 27 at 11:00 am in the Penitente space.
Laughing is good therapy and doing it as a family even more so. 'Home' It is a drama at the service of comedy that "provokes good, sonorous, curing laughter", explains the company Cris-is. It is a fast-paced, exciting, hilarious and tender clown show. It can be seen on Friday 26 at 6:00 p.m. in space Martiánez Shopping Center, on Saturday 27 at 6:00 p.m. and in the same space, and on Sunday 28 at 1:00 p.m. in the El Peñón space.
