The sky opens and it rains laughter and joy in Mueca

Puerto de la Cruz receives an audience eager for Mueca.

The sky of Puerto de la Cruz opened up and the raindrops of Friday the 26th turned into the laughter and joy of the public who attended the nineteenth edition of Mueca this Saturday, November 27.

The city of Porto has received a devoted public and eager for Mueca. The same commitment of those attending the festival has been seen in the companies that performed and also in the organization of this nineteenth edition of the street art festival that, from very early on, has been redoubling efforts to carry out the shows and activities scheduled today.

The day made up of shows to enjoy both the talent of the artists and interactive actions full of creativity began at 11:00 a.m. and, although a few drops fell during the morning, this light rain was unable to either the public or the more than 20 shows scheduled for the most intense day of this edition of Mueca.

Laughter infected Puerto de la Cruz and the public enjoyed a very varied program, starting from dance, percussion workshops, theater, clown, circus, acrobatics and shows full of emotion and humor.

Puerto de la Cruz became, for yet another year, the epicenter of culture in the Canary Islands with 10 spaces scattered around the center of the city. Thousands of people passed through the different scenic spaces to attend one of the most relevant street art festivals on the national scene.

Mueca's international vocation was felt in the shows of the companies Eléctrico 28 (Austria), Fabrizio Rosselli (France), Mighty Jambo (Kenya), 15Feet6 (Belgium), Theater Tol (Belgium) and The Ruggeds (Holland). This aspect was perfectly integrated into the city of Puerto de la Cruz, a tourist city whose bastion is the integration of the thousands of visitors in its cultural activity.
