The twentieth edition of Mueca Festival installs its 3D photocall in the Plaza de Europa

Mueca has presented today the 3D photocall with this year's image in the Plaza de Europa.

The Puerto de la Cruz Mueca International Street Art Festival today presented the photocall with the 3D corporeal figures based on this year's image that celebrates the Festival's 20th anniversary from May 5 to 8 and will be located in the Plaza de Europa during the months of April and May. The installation, by the artist Víctor Méndez, is a claim for the interaction of citizens and visitors and a call for them to join in the celebration of one of the most appreciated festivals by the population.

The approach of the image, by REC creative studio, is based on the visual conceptualization of the 20th anniversary through the use of hands and the gestural discourse of sign language to represent mime, grimace, theatricality and the show, as fundamental axes of the festival, and the inclusiveness of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).

The event was attended by the mayor of Puerto de la Cruz, Marco González, and members of the Cómplices Mueca platform, representing the collaborative management model between the town hall and the citizen platform, which is a pioneer and characterizes the festival, and which has led it to become recognized as the best of culture in the Canary Islands in the last two years by the Contemporary Foundation Observatory.
